The Benefits Of Google AdWords Remarketing
If you’re at all involved with Google AdWords, or PPC as a whole, you’ll have more than likely heard the buzzword ‘Remarketing’. But what exactly is Remarketing?
Well, Remarketing is the term that PPC professionals give to the practice of advertising to potential customers who have already visited your website and are therefore familiar with your brand, product or service.
When looking at Google AdWords, there are two main types of Remarketing; Display Network Remarketing and Search Network Remarketing (RLSA). Display Network Remarketing uses the cookie that a user will pick up when visiting your site to show them adverts for your product/service as they navigate websites that are part of the Google Display Network (GDN). Search Network Remarketing, or RLSA campaigns as they are commonly known, incorporate both the cookie that a user has picked up and the keywords that you specify to show adverts to the potential customer on the search engine results page.
Since the users you’re targeting with Remarketing are previous visitors of your website, the interest around your brand is already there when you reach out to them with your new adverts. Because of this, many PPC professionals find that Remarketing campaigns deliver higher click through and conversion rates than standard campaigns, and can result in lower cost per conversions. Another benefit of Remarketing campaigns is that since the interest is already there, you can create special offers or customised messages to the user, based on what pages they viewed on your website. This is a level of detail that is unmatched by standard campaigns and is one of the main factors that contributes to the better performance.
Here at Talk To Media, we believe in Remarketing. Some of the campaigns we have ran have seen both the click through rate and conversion rate double compared to standard campaigns, as well as the cost per conversion being decreased.
